Overview of the Role
The Janitor responsible is to keep the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected.
Department
This department ensures the wellbeing of staff and visitors are safe through maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. This position is critical to the safety of staff and visitors who work in or visit the agency daily.
Responsibilities
Clean the interior of the buildings including floors, carpet, windows, and walls.
Clean all bathrooms in the office spaces.
Disinfect all commonly used items daily such as desks, door handles, office tools and phones.
Remove trash from all office receptacles daily.
Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and place orders with your supervisor for supplies as needed.
Arrange furniture as required for meetings, move-in, move-outs and other Agency events.
Follow CDC Covid-19 Cleaning, Disinfecting and Ventilation guidelines for proper sanitation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them.
Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners.
Ability to lift and move at least 40 pounds.
Good organization and communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Work Environment: Standard office environment
Essential Physical Functions: Ability to lift 20 pounds
Equipment Used: Standard maintenance tools and equipment
