Transportation is a basic need and reliable transportation becomes difficult with age. Seabury Resources for Aging provides a range of transportation options for older adults in Washington, D.C. through two signature programs.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Seabury Connector has shifted to deliver meals to older D.C. residents in their homes. Please contact your Ward's Lead Agency to enroll in our home-delivered meals program. A list of Lead Agencies can be found here.
Seabury ConnectorCard provides subsidized transportation funds through a prepaid debit card to older adults in Washington, D.C. so that they can get the transportation they need when they need it. Contact us at (202) 844-3000.
The Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL) has announced that Seabury Connector’s meal delivery grant will end on June 30. The early end to the grant is not a reflection on our grant performance but a cost-saving initiative. As DACL stated in their announcement, "Great American Corp (Dutch Mill) and DeSoul will provide meal preparation and delivery through the end of fiscal year 2021, or until a long-term provider is secured. Meal delivery will continue without interruption for clients who are currently enrolled in the program." Seabury will continue to manage the ConnectorCard program.
