She has also served as a senior level executive in the corporate and government sectors in health, telecommunications, and utility issues.

“We are very pleased that Ms. Royster will join Seabury as Chief Executive Officer,” said Gerry Perez, former President of the Board of Directors of Seabury Resources for Aging. “She brings a wealth of professional and leadership experience, and significant knowledge of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, to this position. We look forward to working together with her to build upon Seabury’s record of 91 years of service to older adults and family caregivers in the Metropolitan Washington area.”

“Seabury Resources for Aging has a rich history of mission-driven service to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. I look forward to working with the Seabury team to build on this wonderful legacy of service excellence and innovation, and to develop and expand programs and services to meet the needs of older adults today and in the future,” says Ms. Royster.

Ms. Royster will succeed Joseph Resch who has been with Seabury since 1986 and its chief executive since 1990 and who is retiring. During Mr. Resch’s tenure, Seabury has grown from serving 250 people in Washington, DC in 1990 to more than 15,000 people in the greater Washington metro area today. “Under Joe’s leadership Seabury has become the area leader in aging services and furthered its mission of assisting older adults so that they may age with independence and dignity,” says Mr. Perez, “and we are grateful for his leadership and vision.”
