Yvonne won the Georgetown University Medical Center Award for “Excellence in Outstanding Patient Care” (the Medical Center’s most prestigious award for patient care). She also served as an MSW Field Supervisor/Instructor for MSW candidates, and as the coordinator of the Oncology Patient-University Student (OPUS) program. She served as an Advisory member on the Patient Services Committee of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and as an Advisory Board member for Roads to Recovery.
