Housing Stabilization Fund
No One Should Be At Risk Of Losing Their Housing
Seabury is proud to partner with United Healthcare on a Housing Stabilization Fund aimed to help older adults remain safely in their homes.
When unsafe conditions threaten the housing stability of District seniors, this fund is available to address those conditions and rectify them. These conditions may lead to threats of eviction or the discontinuation of home-based healthcare supports, without which older adults might not be able to safely remain in their homes.
Seabury and United Healthcare are partnering to address three unsafe conditions threatening secure housing:
- Infestation of Bed Bugs
- Hoarding
- Imminent threat of or discontinuation of water, gas, or electric service
The Utility Assistance Fund has been fully exhausted as of August 1. All applications submitted on or before July 31 will continue to be reviewed, and awards have either been issued or are pending. We are no longer accepting new applications for utility assistance, and the website has been updated to reflect this status. If your client is in need of support, please direct them to alternative assistance resources.
This is a limited fund for calendar year 2026. Seabury will only take referrals from preferred partners in the aging service network, and will only consider applicants who meet the geographical and financial criteria below.
