There are many ways to support Seabury Resources for Aging and its services. Volunteer opportunities are listed throughout the website. This section describes ways in which individuals, churches, and businesses can provide financial gifts to support the work of Seabury Resources for Aging.
To make a donation: You may mail a check to Seabury Resources for Aging, 900 Second Street, NE, Suite 206, Washington DC 20002, call (202) 414-6315 to make a credit card donation or visit our online donation site at the Washington DC Catalog for Philanthropy.
Contributions Allow Seabury Resources for Aging to:
- offer care management services through Seabury Care Management on a sliding scale fee basis;
- provide financial assistance to residents at Friendship Terrace and Springvale Terrace Retirement Communities who otherwise might be forced to leave due to changes in their financial circumstances;
- provide supportive house and shared living opportunities to low in come seniors through Christian Communities Group Homes.
- help seniors remain safely in their own homes through the Age-in-Place programs serving Washington, DC.
- support transportation services in Southern Prince George's County through St. Philip's Senior Van and in Northwest Washington through Iona’s transportation service funded by Seabury;
- provide subsidized medical and health advise to low income seniors in Seabury's Senior Living Communities,
- sponsor the annual May Senior Celebrations to recognize the contributions seniors throughout the Episcopal Washington Diocese have made to their church and community
- provide some financial assistance for medical necessities; and
- recruit and coordinate volunteer services to improve the lives of seniors.
