Seabury Congregational Resources provides technical expertise and support for congregations to help them engage and support their older members and caregivers.
Who we serve :
Congregations within the Episcopal Diocese of Washington and the United Church of Christ Potomac Association.
Equipping Congregations for the challenges of an aging society through:
- Educational programs for congregations about issues and resources for aging
- Assistance in evaluating the needs and interests of older adults and caregivers
- Information and referral to community resources
- Regional forums to share “best practices” programs and services
- Liturgical resources and events that honor the work and wisdom of older adults.
Volunteer Training and Support, Seabury Congregational Resources:
- Trains volunteers to serve as resources within their congregation
- Coordinates an exchange of knowledge and experience through regional meetings, fact sheets and newsletters
- Provides skills-based training on health, wellness, assessment tools and resources to raise awareness in the congregation.
- Honors individuals or specific programs through Senior Celebrations, an annual event.
